Privacy policy

This policy covers the Timmen Android app and the timmen.app website. In short: the app collects nothing, and the site collects only anonymous page counts.

The app

Timmen is local-first by design. Your clients, projects, time entries, invoices and settings are stored in a database file on your device. That file never leaves your phone through us:

• There is no account, no sign-up and no login.
• The app never sends your data to a server. We don't run one.
• There are no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no crash-reporting SDK.
• Invoices are generated on your device and shared only when and where you choose to share them.

Your data may leave the device in exactly two ways, both under your control: Android's automatic backup (encrypted by Android to your Google account, governed by Google's terms) and files you export or share yourself, such as an invoice PDF.

Purchases of Timmen Pro are processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase happened; payment details stay with Google. Google Play may also report aggregate crash statistics to us. These come from Android itself and contain no personal data.

The website

timmen.app is a static site served by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless service that gives us aggregate page-view counts without tracking or fingerprinting individual visitors. Cloudflare, as our host, processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site and mitigate abuse. Under the GDPR, our legal basis for these logs is legitimate interest: they are what it takes to keep a site online and secure.

Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the EEA, under the safeguards described in Cloudflare's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

Email

If you email support@timmen.app, we use your message and address to reply, and for nothing else. We don't add you to any mailing list. Under the GDPR, our legal basis is legitimate interest — replying to people who write to us. We delete support email within 24 months of the last exchange.

You can ask what we hold about you (in practice: that email correspondence) and have it deleted, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated date.
